What is Exercise Physiology?
Exercise physiologists are trained in the assessment of individuals, and subsequent prescription of exercise, to assist people with medical conditions, injuries, or disabilities where there is evidence that exercise can improve the person’s physical capacity.
Exercise Physiology services can assist with:

• Upper limb, lower limb and core strength.
• Balance, walking and mobility.
• Ability to navigate a person’s environment (i.e. uneven ground, stairs, transferring from lying, sitting, standing).
• Aerobic capacity and cardiovascular health.
• And other miscellaneous areas including posture, weight management and pain.
How could an exercise physiologist facilitate these?
• 1:1 Face to Face Intervention.
• Group Face to Face Intervention.
• Telehealth Intervention.
• Design and education of a home exercise program that can be completed independently or in conjunction with a guardian or support worker.
