What is a Therapy Assistant?

A therapy assistant is halfway between a support worker and a therapist. They are affordable and have the skills and knowledge to help with your therapy plan, whether that is in the home or in the community.

What a therapy assistant does.

Our Therapy Assistants work directly with clients under the supervision of an allied health professional to help achieve therapeutic goals. Their input may include:

  • Transferring and consolidating skills to increase independence across all settings
  • Increasing community participation and social engagement
  • Practicing and developing communication skills including alternative communication techniques
  • Establishing routines and strategies tailored to improve overall development
  • Using aids and equipment to increase independence.

Our Therapy Assistants work along slide our Allied Health team to best support you in make the most of your NDIS plan, so that you can fully reach your stated goals.
